The objective of the MYP is to help students develop a sense of self, gain an understanding of matters at personal, local and global levels and understand their roles and responsibilities towards the community.

Understanding the MYP Approaches to Teaching and Learning
The MYP encourages independent learning and the application of knowledge to address real-world situations.
The curriculum enables students to learn the art of learning by applying their research, social, communication, thinking and self-management skills.
Service As Action
The IB community believes in service and action. Students get the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills both inside and outside the classroom. IB learners take part in MYP community service projects that are meant to bring positive changes in the lives of others or the environment.
Inclusion
MYP offers the privilege to schools to accommodate curriculum modifications and modify assessment access criteria and classroom requirements based on individual learning needs.
Contextual Learning
The MYP allows students to develop a sense of global citizenship by using global contexts and sharing their responsibilities towards the wellbeing of Mother Earth. This approach lets them explore orientations in space and time, identities and relationships, cultural diversities, technical and scientific innovations, sustainability and globalisation and fairness.
Conceptual Understanding
MYP learners view knowledge with a holistic perspective, and use concepts to inquire about ideas and issues.
STEM Education
The MYP facilitates interdisciplinary learning and allows educators to integrate STEM-based learning in the curriculum through personal and community projects and through formal and informal interdisciplinary experiences in subject-groups.
